Hi! My name is Kate, and Julia was my great-great-grandma. I'm descended through her daughter Dora, who was your grandpa John's sister. I read a short blurb of yours from 10 years ago on ancestry.co.uk about how you were missing a lot of info because of the divorce, which was in 1905, not the 1930s. Feel free to contact me and check out my blog at historikate.blogspot.ca! :) You're my second cousin once removed!
This site is dedicated to my great grandparents John and Catherine (McArthur) McLeod and to all of their descendants who are currently spread throughout Canada and the United States. Both John and Catherine were born on the Isle of Islay and immigrated to Grey County, Canada with their parents and siblings at a very young age. They both came from large families and had six children themselves.
This blog will be updated periodically as photos, newspaper clippings and other family history information can be prepared and published. Any contributions or comments to improve what is being presented here would be greatly appreciated.
